Buitenverwachting

Buitenverwachting originally formed part of the Constantia Estate, which was founded by Simon van der Stel, the first Governor of the new Dutch colony at the tip of Africa.

It is situated in the heart of the historical Constantia Valley in Cape Town. The farm boasts an exceptional range of wines as well as one of the top restaurants in the country.

Groot Constantia

Groot Constantia is an important South African heritage site. In 1685 the farm was granted to Simon van der Stel, Commander of the Cape Colony, by the Dutch East India Company (VOC).

Van der Stel's post was later upgraded to Governor. Groot Constantia has remained one of country's best-known farms ever since, producing world-renowned wine.

Daily guided tours, wine tasting and sales. Restaurants and information centre.

Klein Constantia

The Constantia Valley was the cradle of South African wine.

Klein Constantia estate, part of the farm that produced the Constantia wine prized by Europe's aristocracy in the 18th century, is considered one of South Africa's premier crus, its wines winning both local and international awards.

Family owned, Klein Constantia's wine making philosophy is based on quality rather than quantity and all wine is grown, made and bottled on the estate.

Steenberg Wine Estate

The 5-star graded Steenberg Hotel & Winery - the oldest wine farm in the Cape Peninsula - offers breathtaking scenery, a championship golf course, an exclusive restaurant, a producing wine cellar, and all the facilities of a top-class country hotel and winery.

The hotel buildings, dating back to 1682, were painstakingly restored and have been declared a National Monument.
