After an early morning pick up, the African Garden Route Game Ecosafari departs for the Garden Route Game Lodge and Hot Springs. The Game Lodge on the Garden Route is situated in the heartland of the world famous Fynbos Botanical Route, and welcomes you to the majestic beauty that fauna and flora has to offer.
View the Big Five in a malaria free environment and share the exciting experience of an African lion safari, viewing the African elephant, antelope, crocodile, leopard and many more. Visit the reptile park on the premises where a highly qualified Herpetologist will introduce you to 23 different species of snakes.
The Garden Route Game Lodge adheres to optimal conservation practices to create a balanced Eco-system, African Ecotourism and African Ecosafari. On the evening, enjoy traditional cuisine in the Inyama Restaurant or around an open air Boma campfire.
On the second day, enjoy more wilderness game viewing. Already the Big 5 - rhino, lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo - have been introduced and a successful breeding scheme is under way to increase the numbers of antelope species.
At current the Garden Route Game Lodge hosts zebra, springbok, bontebok and wildebeest as well as crocodile. If the timing is right, the elusive Cape Mountain Leopard whose tracks appear regularly, can be spotted. Thanks to the size of the land and the consequent density of African animals it is almost certain that visitors will see a large percentage of game on display in their natural habitat.
Enjoy your African wilderness ecosafari before returning to Cape Town, arrival early evening.
