The Cape About The Cape
Angling and Big Game Fishing

Crystal clear mountain streams, tidal rivers, levees and dams. This is an anglers' paradise, each spot more beautiful than the last.

Offshore at the Cape, the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans meet, and it's the only spot in the world where you can find Big Game Fish of cold and warm waters sharing the same territory.

Canoeing and Sea Kayaking

There are few sights more spectacular than watching the sun rise as you paddle leisurely from Three Anchor Bay.

Seals and dolphins cavort around you, and more often than not, at the right time of the year, you will encounter whales gently basking.

Diving

The Western Cape offers a selection of dive attractions to meet the requirements of most dive qualifications. Cape of Good Hope was previously known as the Cape of Storms - with good reason!

These storms have left many shipwrecks along the coast. There are also a few wrecks that have been scuttled to create artificial reefs covered with a broad diversity of marine growth, kelp forests and seal colonies.

River Rafting

This is for the adventurer, the explorer, the life seeking fun loving traveler, the adrenaline junkie, the nature lover, the bird watcher, the leisure seeker, the fisherman, and even the stressed-out workaholic.

The Western Cape offers river adventures for all ages and difficulty levels.

Shark Cage Diving

Come face to face with and brave the jaws of the most dangerous shark in the world - yes, it's completely safe!

Adventure seekers from all over the world come to dive with these giant ocean predators. Shark Alley is reputed to be the best place in the world to observe and dive with sharks.

Surfing

Cape Town offers the most highly concentrated number of surf spots in South Africa. There are easily 50 spots within an hours drive of the city, depending on which secret spots you include.

Outer Kom, Misty Cliffs, Jeffreys, St Francis Bay - surfing spots known throughout the world by those who seek the ultimate wave.
